The Summer Jobs Service (SJS) is a free employment program for people 15 to 30 years who are planning a return to school in September. This program provides the necessary assistance for students seeking summer employment and allows them to gain valuable experience in the job market. Our goal is to provide students with the information, resources, training and skills needed to find meaningful employment and provide employers with an educated and motivated.

Student Eligibility for a Summer Job Placement with Hiring Incentives

you must be:

  • 15-30 years of age

  • planning to return to school in the fall

  • eligible to work in Canada

  • hired by a person who is not their immediate relative

  • not currently working for the employer applying for the hiring incentive
